Job Description:
A company is looking for a Payment Integrity Auditor to perform
quality oversight and analysis of medical record documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct retrospective analysis to identify coding and billing
errors according to established guidelines
Provide second-level review of diagnosis, procedure, and billing
codes to ensure compliance and optimal reimbursements
Offer technical support and training to internal coding staff
regarding compliance and documentation standards
Required Qualifications and Education
Recognized coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC; RHIA or RHIT may
also be considered
5-7 years of experience coding and/or auditing in an acute care
facility or clinic
Experience with telecommuting and electronic medical records
systems strongly preferred
Training and education experience preferred
