The Program Manager, Education is responsible for delivering a high level of service, consistency and a centralized point of contact for specific/high value Education accounts. This role extends beyond the completion of individual projects and looks at maintaining the long-term support structure for each assigned account. This position will travel throughout California 50% of the time and candidates need to be located near a major metro market. San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego are all preferred markets. Compensation will adjust based upon candidates' location.
Essential Functions:


  • Provides a single point of contact for clients and their professional teams for global and national project delivery and is readily available to the client when the assigned sales professional is unavailable, having awareness and plans to capture all open opportunities with each customer.
  • Attends project meetings/calls and site meetings as appropriate, creates consistent communication plans for each project/client.
  • Creates a seamless experience between the customer, MillerKnoll and the dealer, and is the primary liaison between the customer and MillerKnoll.
  • Works on growing MillerKnoll's 'share of wallet' through developing/delivering a differentiated account strategy that is forward-looking and focuses on customer improvement.
  • Maintains the client standards, driving floor plate sales for HM and minimizing leakage to competitive product.
  • Manages new product introductions within assigned accounts, dealers and client representatives.
  • Collaborates with dealers to maintain their program awareness and ensure compliance to dealer participation agreement and guidelines, standards, discounts and terms of sale.
  • Provides appropriate checks/balances for project pricing quotes, honoring all relevant contracts.
  • Oversees and coordinates the data and use of the MillerKnoll Project Management Tool for assigned account activities.
  • Conducts a 'lessons learned' process with all stakeholders after each executed key project and keeps files on all projects, enabling the transition of the relevant typicals for future projects and recommending appropriate process improvements in order to repeat successes, and avoid failures.
  • Manages Salesforce (CRM) information appropriately.
  • Assists with managing the project budgets and works through the design and furniture selection process to create an appropriate project solution.

    Education & Expertise:

    • Bachelor's Degree in field of relevant academic discipline and applicable professional certification required; equivalent level of work experience considered.
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in project management/planning or facility management/design with construction trades and/or architectural/design firms.
    • Proficiency in managing complex schedules, priorities, and communications with clients and stakeholders.
    • Experience in complex selling processes and channel sales is beneficial.
    • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and CRM tools.

      • Ability to influence without explicit authority, using positive influence to build consensus and credibility.
      • Proficient in analyzing and modeling data using MS Excel, with strong problem-solving skills to make recommendations and process improvements.
      • Strong business acumen.
      • Strong professional attributes, projecting self-confidence, and representing MillerKnoll in a professional manner.

        A starting compensation range for this role is $88,600.00 - $111,750.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors. You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
