Job Summary
 
This person will be responsible for updating the existing and new technical infrastructure as well as assessing and applying new technologies in diverse and fun projects. Because of the nature of software development, this person must be able to adapt and be comfortable with learning and implementing new technologies, techniques and processes and enjoy challenges with 1’s and zero’s.
 
Essential Functions
 

• 
  

• Must be able to develop new Web applications as identified by supervisor and management through packaged and customized applications.
• Experience building user interface applications and back-end api‘s/databases using various programming and scripting languages.
• Must be able to work well in-group problem solving situations and use reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
• Must have a solid understanding of web application development processes including the software development life cycle and agile development.
• This person will maintain and monitor existing and new applications.

 
 
Qualifications
 

• 
  

• MUST be able to take on new technologies and be flexible in Programming languages and technical concepts.
• This person must have understanding and some practice with following programming languages:
• Front end development– HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Angular.js
• Databases – NOSQL, SQL (we use both)
• Server side  - node.js / .net
• Understanding/practice with OOP
• Basic knowledge in Linux and Windows platforms
• Familiarity with Continuous integration services/servers
• General Knowledge of Version control: GIt/mercurial
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
• Basic knowledge of PAAS – Heroku, AWS, Azure etc.
• Ability to read and understand highly technical material
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• A solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures
