THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION IN OAKLAND, CASenior Software EngineerDuration: ASAP - 7/31/25We are looking for engineers who can work with Scala or Typescript.Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in at least one dynamic server-side language: TypeScript, Scala, or similar
• 3+ years experience working in an online marketplace or fintech company, including experience interacting with third party APIs
• Strong understanding of product security, fraud and abuse prevention systems is strongly preferredWe are seeking a detail-oriented Fraud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating fraud detection services and automating fraud prevention processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance fraud detection capabilities, developing automated solutions, and ensuring the integrity of our fraud management systems. Strong analytical skills and experience with fraud detection technologies are essential.Key Responsibilities
• Integrate fraud detection services into existing systems.
• Develop and implement automation solutions for fraud prevention.
• Collaborate with teams to improve fraud detection and reporting processes.
• Monitor and analyze fraud trends to enhance system effectiveness.Deliverables/Fraud Engineering Goals

  • Triage vulnerabilities reported for existing Google DLP scan runs for Bigquery, including evaluating DLP events and eliminating false positive events.
  • Prepare technical documentation for the triage indicating details about analysis, including decision on each finding, SQL query run for analysis along with sample screenshots of the analysis/findings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to remediate valid findings.
